Favorite Book: Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin
World Traveler. Writer. Historian-in-training. Queer Man of Color. Activist for equality and justice in all forms. Unapologetic fanboy of the The Avengers. When I’m not running Amherst Soul from behind the scenes, I try to submit some of my own written work. I’ve been riding the Amherst Soul train since the summer after my sophomore year when I brainstormed the publication with my friends and fellow revolutionaries. It’s been an amazing experience to see my dream become a reality that will hopefully continue to grow and cultivate community and story-sharing at Amherst for years to come.

Staff Position: Submission Editing
Favorite Book: The Stranger by Albert Camus
Jeff admits that he is really bad at writing bios like this. He feels like he’s a stereotypical philosophy major mixed with Lady Gaga. He loves philosophy, film, and literature. He joined Amherst Soul to help provide a platform for students to share their artistic creations and to help build a new kind of community here at Amherst. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the Pioneer Valley, reading angsty novels, and taking virtual vacations on Google Maps Street View.
